PedalsteelguitarI've been playing a ShoBud Pro III since 1975, and it is definitely my favorite instrument.
My
setup is 6 knee levers on E9 (LLF: e-f, LLR: f#-g, LU: b-bb, LR: e-d#, RL:
g#-f#, RR: d#-d-c#), and 2 on C6 (LR: a-a#, RL: c-b), the floor pedals are
pretty much standard. I've also got a Sierra Session Universal S-14
that I'm using on the road, as it's not so heavy. The copedant is:
LLF: e-f, LLR: f#-g, LU: f#-g# (1st string), d#-e (2nd), RLF: g#-f#, RLR: b-bb, RR: d#-d-c#. I
do most of my work on E9, and switch to C6 only when I play Western
Swing.
The
players I admire most are Lloyd Green (for his clean sound), Herb
Remington, Buddy Emmons, and Paul Franklin.
I
currently play with my band Route Sixty-Six, but do back-up work for other
acts as well.
Since 1993 I have been nominated "Musician of the year" by the ACMF
every year, and won the awards three times, in 1996, 1998 and 2002.
